Taber Provincial Building, Alberta - 1986
Client: Alberta Public Works
Building type: Offices
Taber Provincial Building is a general-purpose government office facility located in the Southern Alberta community of Taber. The building required an estimated floor area of 1784 square metres to accommodate a total of 54 personnel in Agriculture and Social Services District Offices, plus six other smaller functions. We prepared a program that would provide the architect with sufficient overall information to generate a schematic design, and to specify detailed requirements for interior design development. We worked with representatives from each government department to determine their space, furniture and equipment requirements within the context of current accommodation standards. In addition, we liaised with the architect to ensure that we addressed all relevant design concerns. Completed in 1986.
