BC Assessment Head Office, Victoria - 2008

We developed a program of requirements for head office in preparation for requesting proposals for leased space. We planned office space for a total of 143 personnel. Completed in 2007. We updated the program in 2008.

BC Assessment Field Office, Vancouver - 2005

We developed a program of requirements for an amalgamation of the existing field offices in North Vancouver and Vancouver. During the process of determining the space requirements for the new Vancouver office, we also recommended modifications to the guidelines for all field offices. Completed in 2005.

BC Assessment Field Office Standards - 2003

The objectives of the study were to make the accommodation for BC Assessment’s field offices more functional and more economical. We defined space requirements based on the work patterns of field office staff and anticipated future operational changes. We examined individual workspaces, group workspaces, storage functions, and staff amenities. Our work resulted in the definition of office accommodation guidelines to be applied to the acquisition of new leased space. Three years later, we updated the accommodation manual to reflect lessons learned during implementation as well as incorporate several operational changes in the organization. Completed in 2003.

Information Services, BC Assessment Headquarters, Victoria, BC - 2003

We defined the space requirements for the newly re-organized Information Services Division and reviewed the space needs of other headquarters functions. We then developed a block schematic concept for re-locating Information Services and adjusting other functions to fit. Completed in 2003.

Plan Evaluations, BC Assessment, Burnaby/Kelowna/Richmond - 2001

We compared possible spaces for use as BC Assessment field offices in Burnaby, Kelowna and Richmond. Our analysis assessed how well the spaces could be used by testing space layouts and comparing the results along several criteria. Completed in 2001.
