OCI is a 220-bed provincial resource centre in Brampton that focuses on the needs of sex offenders. It was proposed that OCI be relocated to existing facilities on the site of the Brockville Psychiatric Hospital, scheduled for closure. OCI, with an expanded capacity of 300 beds, was to be co-sited with a new forensic psychiatric facility and a secure mental health treatment unit. Psychiatric and support services were to be shared among the three facilities. We developed a facilities program for the relocated and expanded OCI facility. A key aspect of the project was the resolution of issues regarding joint governance and delivery of shared support services. Completed in 2000.
