Long Term Facilities Plan, Trail School District, BC - 1996
Client: School District 11 (Trail)
Building type: K-12 Education
Declining enrolment, aging buildings and a desire to implement a middle school model focused on the need to develop a long-term plan for school facilities in Trail and other communities in School District 11. We developed several options based on grade configuration and facilities redevelopment possibilities. We worked closely with a committee of administrators and trustees to define the options and select the best long-term plan. Later, we conducted a public consultation process regarding planned modifications to service delivery. Discussion focused on six open house sessions in three communities: Trail, Rossland and Fruitvale. Completed in 1996.
